Brief description

This course is an elective course. It will be useful for anyone involved in Excel intensive use.

Learning outcomes

• Being able to use Excel and VBA to create scientific-based utilities

Course content

1. Excel: basic elements (graphics, formulas, solver).
2. VBA programing: Visual Basic editor, manipulating tables and cells, creating formulas
3. Add-Ins: using complementary external macros
4. Modeling: the structure of model; explicit, implicit and stochastic models
5. Interfacing: creation of userforms and menu bars
